Clarets Trust are delighted to announce that we are supporting Youth development at Burnley Football Club by sponsoring second year scholar, Archie Love for the rest of the season.
The sponsorship means we will now feature in the 'Youth Player Sponsors 2011/12' section of the Claret & You programme for the remainder of 2011/12 with our logo and website details provided.
Archie came through the Club's Centre of Excellence and he has impressed at youth, development and reserve team level. The 18 year old central midfielder, who can also play at centre half was named League Football Education's Apprentice of the Month only last month (December 2011) and the Scot has already been involved in training sessions with the Scotland Under 19 squad. He looks to have a bright future at Burnley Football Club and we all hope he can secure his first professional deal at the end of this season. |

It was great news to hear that our sponsored player for the season. Kieran Trippier has now made his move to Turf Moor permanent after penning a 3.5 year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The Trust are delighted and we provide below a Press Release statement from chairman, Peter Pike

The Clarets Trust who now hold 142 shares in Burnley Football Club are delighted that Kieran Trippier is the first player to sign a new deal at Turf Moor in 2012. The Trust chose to sponsor him as we thought he had the right credentials for the Trust to back at the start of the season. We only had one doubt at that stage that he was only a loan player although we then decided that as he was with us for the full season we would give him our support and sponsorship. We are really pleased that he has now taken a 3.5 year contract.
The Trust feel he has been a great signing , has settled in well with the team and has been a good consistent player with the squad this year. We also feel that he was very harshly sent off at Leeds on New Year Bank Holiday Monday! A play off spot is clearly attainable and we wish Kieran every success as the team fight to help secure the target all Clarets fans want this year.
