The Aberdeen-born keeper joined the club in 1954 and spent 13 years at Turf Moor. Clarets Trust chairman, Peter Pike pays tribute TRIBUTE TO ADAM BLACKLAW I am very sorry to hear of the sad death of Adam Blacklaw over the weekend. I and the Clarets Trust extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to his wife Sheila, three children and all the family. Adam was the goalkeeper that took over from Colin McDonald and played in that great team of the 60s in the Championship winning team in 1959/60, and then in 1962 at Wembley in the Cup Final and league runners up team in 1961/62. He was also goalkeeper for Scotland in 3 full internationals A truly great Claret and magnificent goalkeeper his role in the Club's greatest period of success in the 1960s was absolutely crucial and will not be forgotten. He will be remembered with great affection by all Clarets fans Peter Pike Chair - Clarets Trust
